Conservative Round Up: Who is Palin Smith & Why You Should Care

     He drives a slick yellow car, sports a stylish white mustache, a red & black baseball cape, and has a video camera permanently attached to one hand. If you happen to be at a rally, speaking engagement, or town hall meeting, and you see this guy standing in the back, and you are a conservative, jump for joy. If you voted for Obama last cycle, run for cover, because this is the guy who played a key role in bringing the "Overpasses to Impeach Obama" to your neighborhood.
    
  His moniker is Palin Smith and he is the conservative activist, gadfly, cheerleader, videographer, citizen journalist, unflappable one- man conservative campaign powerhouse of a force you want on your side!

Palin, as he told the Press in April, calls himself "patriot recruiter" or "incumbent terminator." Or in the case of Sen. John McKinney, he is your worst nightmare. Having been to all 169 towns in Ct and photographed there with a "McKinney Must Go" sign, Palin is one to watch leading the charge for right leaning folks to reform the GOP and kick Rhinos out on their butts. Palin lead the successful "Dump Dodd" movement in 2009. Palin was also a force in helping to lay the foundation for the CT Tea Party.Today Palin, is leading the charge again with getting McKinney out of office due to his failure to listen to gun owners on key legislative votes that crack down on law abiding citizen fire arm owners in the nutmeg state.  And of course just as we are typing this article, it seems we are too late- we have been beaten to the punch spreading the wonders of Palin Smith aka Chris Ford- listen to the podcast on CT360 with  journalist Dan Lovallo interviewing Palin on his impact on the political landscape of Connecticut. http://cttalking.com/podcasts/35/

This election cycle, it appears Palin is dedicating much of his efforts to helping the campaign of Joe Visconti for Governor and  AR Fernandez (Angel Fernandez) for the 100th District in Middletown.  Not only did Joe Visconti once ride up to a townhall meeting on horseback Paul Revere style, but he may be a different kind of trailblazer should he get enough signatures to petition his way onto the ballot as a Independent this fall after failing to gain the 8,000+ signatures to run on the Republican ticket. 
And what is so special about a Palin Smith endorsement? He never endorses a sleeper candidate; if you are a favorite of Palin, you're not only a true conservative, but got fire & tenacity in excess.

If you don't have Palin's youtube channel bookmarked, you oughta, because he has filmed instances that you won't even find on Fox News CT. For example, as Lovallo mentions in the interview, Palin got on film Bob MacGuffie of Right Principles challenging Gov. Malloy on Ct's exponentially surmounting debt at a town hall meeting in Norwalk. An instance that left Malloy grasping for words to say the least. Carefully edited out of all other news coverage of course. Palin was also there well before the Mess and other local news outlets got on the scene when hundreds of citizens were trying to register their guns before the deadlines of Public Act 13-3 were to  be enacted  in April. Palin, along with Visconti, stood with a "Mckinney Must Go Sign" along side the large crowd in the parking lot at the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection building on Country Club Lane. The media's reports of the event, which portrayed the scene as a bunch of gun nuts standing in the cold, with what Palin video interviewed several citizens at the rally and just in the area on coincidence as actually having sound opinions against the tougher restrictions being imposed.  And these several citizens are far from the unstable uneducated "gun nut" stereotype the mainstream local media has portrayed 2A supporters to be.

For the past few years, (wow! it has been years for the Insider!) Palin has been gracious enough to let us publish his Conservative Newsletter, under "Conservative Roundup", which has hundreds recipients across Connecticut who receive a list of youtube video links and conservative aligned event updates weekly complied by Palin. Dear CT GOP Party: take note of Palin's tenacity and organization, you oughta learn from this man.

Conservative Roundup: Rally in Middletown Today! by Palin Smith

   GREETINGS PATRIOTS

We certainly learned a lot in 2013. We learned who were our friends and who were our enemies in the Connecticut Legislature. We watched the national Republican Party declare war against the folks who won them the House of Representatives. The Democrats stayed true to form. We know what they want.

A whole new group of citizens realized that laying low and keeping quiet is not politically healthy. Connecticut gun owners are lining up in Middletown these last days of December. We will join them tomorrow, December 31, not as “last minute Larry’s”, but as objective reporters. Who will still be in line when the doors close?

We will be packing lots of John McKinney Must Go signs for people who wish to demonstrate their dislike and distrust of the back-stabbing gun-grabber. We will be recruiting among the law-abiding gun owners who committed no crimes in 2013.

But after tomorrow those folks who did not comply with an unjust and unconstitutional law will become instant felons.

There are lawsuits aimed at overturning the new gun ban. But the courts are stacked with liberal Democrats. The only sure fire way to hit the bulls eye is to eject the oath breakers on Election Day, November 4, 2014. The first new business of the new 2015 legislature must be to repeal the gun ban and make sure a new governor will sign it. But first we must win. And we can't wait until next October to start paying attention.

We will be interviewing and more. Any Republican candidate for governor would be a fool not to work the line for volunteers and votes. But Republicans with rare exceptions are not known for their imagination.

When the inner city Democrats who dare to stray off the Plantation find out the Tea Party is NOT a Republican thing....and that the Republicans are trying to kill it, they will embrace it further.

BRIDGEPORT RALLY

A week ago we attended a 14^th and 15^th Amendment rally in Bridgeport at the Police Department. About 20 patriots braved the rainy evening. The precipitation stopped for exactly an hour so the TV could report live from the scene. Two networks and cable were present.

Not many donors attended a John McKinney fundraiser at a popular restaurant.

Several new activists including Jack from Bethlehem, whose natural talent was amazing.

There are two men whom must never be elected governor. First is Governor Dannel Malloy because we've seen what damage he can inflict. Second is John McKinney, who can never be trusted again to lead.

GETTYSBURG ADDRESS Tuesday was the 150^th anniversary of Lincoln's Gettysburg address. The New Haven Museum commemorated the date by hosting an enthusiastic history professor and an amazing Lincoln re-enactor. We videoed the entire presentation. SHAWN IN BRISTOL Last Tuesday, Nov. 12, we backed up Bristol anti-Agenda 21 activist Shawn Ruest, in his attempt to awaken his city in time to forestall a big mistake.

We all should become aware of any regional unelected governmental entities that threaten our way of life. If you don't pay attention you might just be left with a big bill to try to pay off. We should have at least one Shawn in each CT town.

COMMON CORE The next day, Wednesday Nov. 13 we attended the regular Plymouth Board of Education meeting. At that meeting were possibly the best team of Common Core fighters ever assembled at a CT small town BOE meeting. It was historic to watch our friends from Plymouth and other towns work together to help educate the BOE and others at the meeting. SAVE OUR STATE since the spring we've watched a group of patriots form a political action group in the Quiet Corner. After seven months the group has grown to exceed the activity of local Republican Town committees. They manned stations at the polling places in the 29^th state senate district on Election Day. They used issues to attract attention, educate and persuade the voters. Have you ever seen the CT GOP do that?

Led by Duffy Dauphinais of Killingly, their goal is to supply enough volunteers to topple Donald Williams from the State Senate. They are still searching for the best candidate to oppose Williams, and when they find that person they will have a ready-made campaign infrastructure ready to roll. MARCH AGAINST MAIN STREAM MEDIA CT We stayed in the Quiet Corner Friday night. First thing on Saturday morning we headed westward to attend our first ever March Against Main Stream Media CT.

A varied group of patriots gathered in front of the Hartford Courant Building at 1 PM.
