The November 8th election is an important one for gun owners,
especially here in Connecticut. It is imperative that all CCDL members
and supporters vote for pro2A candidates in this election.
If you are not yet registered to vote, there is still time to register, but you MUST hurry. The deadline for voter registration is tomorrow, November 1st. Online registration is simple, just go to the following link and follow the directions: https://voterregistration.ct.gov
You may also register in person with the registrar of voters in your
town or city. Offices are usually located in your town hall, and will be
open from 9am until 8pm on November 1st to accommodate any last minute
registrations.
There are also still plenty of opportunities to help pro2A candidates get elected.
Candidates still need people to help wave signs, work the polls, and
various other last minute tasks that can mean the difference between
winning and losing. Check out CCDL's list of endorsed candidates,
find one or two in your town or close by, and volunteer to help. It's
fun, it's easy, and it's great being around like-minded people. Be sure
to tell them CCDL sent you!

No
matter the outcome of the 2016 U.S. Senate and House races, Hillary

leaked emails of Clinton campaign staffers published by WikiLeaks show
that the candidate plans to bypass Congress to enact gun control by

Connecticut
voters decide that the budgetary approach of the Democratic legislative
leadership needs replacing, Republicans could become the majority in the state
Senate in the Nov. 8 elections.
And if that
happens, incumbent Republicans like Art Linares, the two-term senator from the
33rd District Connecticut River valley shore towns, would, if re-elected, be in
a position to prove their claims that they could do a better job to manage Connecticut's finances
and economic prospects.
The best outcome
would be a Senate with near-equality between the two parties, encouraging if
not forcing bipartisanship. The challenge for the Republicans, whichever side
has control, would be to pivot from years of complaining about being shut out
of Democratic caucus meetings and show what they can do.
Voters in
the towns of Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East
Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook have a
choice that offers genuine differences in approach among Linares and his
opponents, Democrat Norm Needleman, the first selectman of Essex, and Colin
Bennett, owner of a Deep River bookstore who is running as a Green Party
candidate.
It was late morning when I countered the buyers’ offer and the day
went by with no response. Ugh…..Maybe I should have accepted. Maybe
they changed their minds. Maybe, maybe, maybe. And then it hit me –
just STOP doing this to yourself. They want the house. You’ve decided
to sell it. Eventually, you will come to an agreement, it just doesn’t
have to be THIS MINUTE. So I went to Karen’s bait shop in New London,
waited on customers, counted sandworms, sold clam necks, and sat out on
the back deck a lot soaking in the sun. And we laughed and talked and
passed the time. By late evening, my anxiety was starting up again and I
once again managed to talk myself down. What will happen, will happen,
I decided. If the buyers walk away, perhaps they weren’t the right
buyers. With that in mind, I passed the hours enjoying my friends and
not worrying about what time it was. And to be honest, I even forgot
about the whole thing! Then at 8 pm, the phone rang much to my surprise
and there it was – a new offer from my buyers. This one hit the the magic number I had held in my head and I accepted!
Now comes the reality. I have to move. I have to leave my beautiful
little home. I have to leave my sister (by another mother), Karen.
And Jo. And Barb. But I HAVE to do this. For my own happiness. For
my own health. And hopefully, they will visit me often and we will have
phone contact often. Because I cannot imagine my life without them in
it. I love them. They are part of me.
Obviously, I don’t know what religious beliefs, if any, my readers
may have. But I feel that if we listen hard enough, God, or the
Universe or whatever you feel helps you along in life, speaks to us.
And so it was that night after I went to bed and started reading my
latest in a series of historical novels set in Virginia immediately
after the conclusion of the Civil War. The heroines of the book were
each trying to blaze new paths using their passions and they were
encouraging one another to brave new frontiers. One remarked to the
other:
Kiara and her siblings love Halloween, from planning costumes to
collecting candy. But two years ago, Halloween was an uncertain time for
the family. While out trick-or-treating, Kiara had trouble keeping her
balance. Tests confirmed their worst fears — Kiara had brain cancer. Read her story.

This Issue: H-1B ruling proves that existing law allows employers to replace American workers
Fri,
Oct 14th
A
federal judge in Orlando, Fla. ruled yesterday that the Walt Disney
Company did not violate the law when it laid off roughly 250 high-tech
American workers in 2014 and forced them to train their H-1B,
foreign-worker replacements as a condition of their severance.
The
plaintiffs, two of the laid off Disney workers, claimed that Disney and
the two companies they outsourced the jobs to, Cognizant Technology
Solutions and HCL America, had conspired to violate visa laws.
Federal
Judge Gregory A. Presnell's ruling wasn't too surprising given the fact
that existing federal law allows employers to do exactly what Disney
did. But Disney's response to the ruling was a bit more appalling given
the national fallout since news of the layoffs went public. According to
the New York Times:
A
spokeswoman for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Jacquee Wahler, said,
"As we have said all along, this lawsuit was completely baseless, and we
are gratified by the decision."
In
other words, Disney is pleased that federal law allows American
companies to replace American workers with cheaper, more compliant
foreign workers.
Under
existing H-1B rules, it's easy for companies like Disney to replace
existing American workers with foreign workers. The law allows companies
to replace their workers as long as
Every election cycle brings out the same old
hackneyed accusations and “gotcha!” revelations by each candidate about their
opponent. And now that we’re in the final few weeks of the 2016 presidential
election, each candidate and their nudniks are using the most broad-brushed
black paint in characterizing their political opponent.
I’m sure looking forward to this childish
nonsense to end. Then maybe my email Inbox can return to some semblance of
normality. Can I get an “Amen”?
So then, what are we the American people to do
with two candidates that have the lowest approval level in history (or so it is
reported)? One simple answer: VOTE! Set aside the personal quirks, oddities,
blunders and foolishness of both Clinton and Trump, and engage in some due
diligence by studying the pressing issues that confront our nation right now.
Who is most likely to handle these challenges?
1.National Debt – Our
nation is rocketing toward an indebtedness that is unthinkable. We are nearly
20 trillion dollars in debt, doubling in the past eight years. It is clear to
“We the People” that Congress and the President do not know how to properly use
the monies obtained from us, the American taxpayers. So, which of the two
candidates is most likely to stop the hemorrhaging of out-of-control spending
by our elected representatives?
"This is exactly why
voters are entitled to debates, and Dick Blumenthal is not entitled to
his seat in the US Senate," said Carter. "We must respond to these
continued attacks by Iran on our military or they and their allies will
only grow more emboldened."

Carter Response on Continued Iran Attacks BETHEL, CT - Republican US Senate candidate Dan Carter commented on continued provocations by Iran and Iranian backed rebels against American Navy vessels. "Iran and its allies
continue to be emboldened by the United States failure to hold them
accountable for their actions," said Carter. "They've taken American
hostages, held our sailors captive, fired shots at our vessels and now
Iranian backed rebels are firing upon Navy vessels."
"Where is Dick
Blumenthal?" asked Carter. "He's not answering questions on why he
supported the Iran nuclear deal, he's saying no comment when asked about
the US paying ransom to Iran for holding hostages, and he's certainly
not commenting on the string of attacks made by Iranian vessels firing
upon US Navy vessels."
"Politicians in Washington
like Senator Blumenthal are weakening American foreign policy by
failing to hold Iran accountable," said Carter. "Instead of ramping up
sanctions, which is what I would fight for, Senator Blumenthal voted to
give Iran, the world's foremost state sponsor of terror, $150 billion."
"There is a long list of
atrocities Iran has committed against America, our allies and it's own
people," said Carter. "Yet, Dick Blumenthal has no comment on his record
or the Obama Administration's failed policies when dealing with Iran."
Adventures in Conquering Fear and Starting My New Life
The “Ball Is In Your Park” decision; the BIIYP, as you may recall,
ended quickly with a request for a showing.
Geezzzzzz!!!! So SOON??!??
This was supposed to take awhile! I just got used to seeing the sign
for Pete’s sake. I was quite comfy in BIIYP and was not ready to have
strangers (otherwise known as BUYERS to regular people who list their
homes) coming into my home! No! I didn’t want to show it! But the PIA
voice started nagging. I could clearly hear her lecturing me about
wasting Marilyn’s time if I wasn’t serious. About having wasted MY time
too. “Alright ALRIGHT!!! I’ll show it! Shutup already!” I hollered
to the PIA voice.
So you might think that with my half-hearted attitude about selling,
that I would give showing the house a half-hearted effort, but that is
just not me. Nope. Everything had to be perfect. Each showing was
akin to preparing for a visit by heads of state. Every tiny speck of
dust removed, every pillow karate-chopped just the right way. Did I
mention that I am a Certified Professional Home Stager and HGTV addict?
Well, I may not have really wanted to sell my house, but darn it! It
was going to look like it jumped out of Better Homes and Gardens for
every showing no matter how I felt inside!! Probably the funniest
incident happened when I was in such a pre-showing rush and panic, I
whipped myself around and accidentally stuck the running vacuum
cleaner hose into dog’s water dish and it started sucking up water!!
So that showing wasn’t quite perfect of course since I had to have the
vacuum upside down in the basement sink draining out the water. Lesson
learned. “Budget your time a little better” the voice said……. At
another showing, the PIA voice nagged about giving more attention to
detail. “Maybe next time, you can remember to take down the bra hanging
from the clothes line in the basement.”
On 26 September, I again heard the nightmarishly familiar sound of a dog barking. It was obviously coming from the home of Bernice Rosa and Marcus Keilch. After about 10 minutes of the incessant noise, I called the police and reported it. (Past experience taught me that it was useless to call Animal Control; there is never anyone there to answer the phone.) Twenty minutes later, Animal Control Officer Petras arrived.
In the mean time, I got out the cell phone and started recording, as I walked down the drive. I saw a police car parked across the street from their house and an officer talking to two people. I continued walking (and recording), and noticed Bernice's car in the driveway and a dog with its head sticking out of a second floor window; it was barking at the people across the street. (A second officer arrived on the scene.)
Petras arrived and ordered me to go home; she would handle it. I refused. She then walked to the back door and knocked. Not getting a response, she gets out her phone and makes a phone call. A moment later, Petras hangs up the phone and the back door opens. She enters.
Who would Petras be calling while standing at Bernice's back door? Bernice. Tell me; why would the ACO have Bernice's number programed into her phone? Could it be that they have a personal relationship outside the scope of her duties? Hmmm, me thinks so.
The phone call to police was made at 10:25. The video begins at 10:36. Petras arrived nine minutes into the video, or 20 minutes after the call was placed. The dogs were barking at least 10 minutes prior to calling the police, for a total of about 30 minutes. This can be proven by the officers who were across the street from her house and their reports.
In spite of this, and the protracted history of dog barking complaints, stray dogs and dogs being hit by cars, all from this address; in spite of the fact that the dog owner was home at the time of the occurrence and allowed it to go on unchecked, Petras did not issue a ticket. She refused to enforce the law.
I said to Petras; "By the way, after you left court, Bernice admitted it was you who brought the blog post about the barking dogs to her attention". Her response? No, not a denial, but a smug; "Well, if you didn't want people to see it, you shouldn't have posted it."
Since when does it fall to the duties of an animal control officer to go around telling people about blog posts, especially when the blog post has nothing to do with those people? I don't think it does fall to the duties of an officer, a civil servant, to tell people about a blog post. Do you?
Had Petras kept her mouth shut, Bernice Rosa and Marcus Keilch would never have seen that blog post. Had Petras done her duty and resolved the issue of the barking dogs in the first place, that blog post never would have been. Had Petras kept her mouth shut and done her duty, NONE of this would be going on, today. Nor, would I have been called to court under the false pretenses of one Bernice Rosa.
Officer Petras can shoulder ALL the blame for the fallout, resulting from her dereliction of duty.
Stay tuned for the next series of posts where I rip apart the perjured testimony of Bernice Rosa, one transcript page at a time. You'll love it, folks; it's gonna be huge; HUGE!
WATERFORD - Lori Hopkins-Cavanagh, founder of American Liberty Center and radio host of the Lori on Liberty Show will host a live, two-hour debate for Connecticut's 37th and 38th District Seats at Langley’s Restaurant at the Great Neck Country Club on October 23 from 1-3 pm. The candidates attending from East Lyme and Salem are Republican Holly Cheeseman and Democrat Beth Hogan. The candidates attending from Waterford and Montville are incumbent Republican Representative Kathleen McCarty, Democrat Sharon Palmer and Green Party candidate Lauren Shaw.
The debate format includes a ten-minute, one-on-one interview with each candidate, followed by questions taken from the audience. Each candidate will have one minute to answer each question. Presented by WJJF 94.9 FM radio, the debate broadcasts live, streams live, and will be available to run on cable access.
“The inner city debate that American Liberty Center hosted last month for the 39th and 41st Districts at the New London Library drew a standing room only crowd, indicating a strong demand from voters to interact directly with the candidates. American Liberty Center is playing an important role in helping voters make up their minds and understand issues critical to their community,” said Lori Hopkins-Cavanagh. “Residents can meet these candidates in person, hear their positions and understand their core values before heading to the polls and sending them to Hartford.”

On Wednesday, October 12, 2016, I was in Manchester, CT handing out
flyers advocating for jury nullification. Jury nullification is the
right of the jury to acquit a defendant, or a juror to hang the jury,
because they believe the law to be immoral or misapplied.
About 25
minutes after I arrived, the chief clerk of the Manchester Superior
Court, Antonio D'Addeo, said that I was not allowed to hand out flyers
in front of the courthouse, that I needed permission first, and called
the Connecticut State Police. I continued to hand out flyers.
About 10
minutes later, Chief Clerk Antonio D'Addeo and the chief marshal, Greg
Maloney, approached, by order of Judge Hunchu Kwak and Judge Julia
Dewey, and ordered me off of courthouse property, which they called
"private property", or else I would be arrested for criminal trespass
(C.G.S. 53a-107 (which is a class A misdemeanor in Connecticut)) by the
Connecticut State Police Troop H, the same troop that was involved in
fabricating evidence and falsifying charges against me on video (https://youtu.be/Aizm05nCVkE).
Editor's note: For more information on the power of the jury to nullify the law or the application of the law under a specific circumstance, visit FIJA.org. Good job, Micheal.

Last evening about 6:30, there was a knock at my door. Instinctively, I knew it was the police. They were expected.
I went to the door and greeted Officer Puorro. No, he didn't beat on the door and shout; "Police! Open the Door!"; that is just an eye catching title. (It worked, didn't it? :) )
Officer Puorro asked if we could speak. I agreed. He asked if he could come in, or if I wanted to come out, or if I would prefer to talk through the screen. I opted to talk through the screen for the time being.
In his hand, I could see a copy of an email I had sent the previous evening to Marcus Keilch and his wife, Bernice Rosa. He was interested in the history between me and the neighbors from Hell. (TNFH) After about 30 seconds, I invited him to come in; his demeanor was such that I felt able to open up to him.
Officer Puorro and I spent over half an hour discussing the history. At the end of this article, you will find links to previous posts that will make our history quite clear. Be sure to keep an eye out; there is more coming.*
Well, well. I wonder who could be responsible for this? Note the number of emails; 301-350 of 364 and that is just what is in this folder; there are another 340 or so, others.
Wikipedia defines cyber terrorism, in part, "as the intentional use of computer,
networks, and public internet to cause destruction and harm for personal
objectives. Objectives may be political or ideological since this can be seen as a form of terrorism."
We are looking at 690 or so emails in a matter of hours. It was fortunate that I was on the computer when the attack began and was able to "stop" it. By "stop", I mean, divert them into the trash folder.
The first attack began at 12:09 pm and continued until 12:31. The second attack began at 4:30 and ran until 5:40.
Again, I'll posit the question; who could be responsible for this? Who might have a motive to do something like this?
Read the following articles and decide for your self whether or not you see motive. Be sure to glance through the comments in the first one. Note also, this attack occurred the morning after I sent a certain email. You can see that email and the story behind it in the following post.
