Carter on Continued Iran Attacks - "Where is Dick Blumenthal?"

"This is exactly why voters are entitled to debates, and Dick Blumenthal is not entitled to his seat in the US Senate," said Carter. "We must respond to these continued attacks by Iran on our military or they and their allies will only grow more emboldened."

Carter Response on Continued Iran Attacks

BETHEL, CT - Republican US Senate candidate Dan Carter commented on continued provocations by Iran and Iranian backed rebels against American Navy vessels.
"Iran and its allies continue to be emboldened by the United States failure to hold them accountable for their actions," said Carter. "They've taken American hostages, held our sailors captive, fired shots at our vessels and now Iranian backed rebels are firing upon Navy vessels."

"Where is Dick Blumenthal?" asked Carter. "He's not answering questions on why he supported the Iran nuclear deal, he's saying no comment when asked about the US paying ransom to Iran for holding hostages, and he's certainly not commenting on the string of attacks made by Iranian vessels firing upon US Navy vessels."

"Politicians in Washington like Senator Blumenthal are weakening American foreign policy by failing to hold Iran accountable," said Carter. "Instead of ramping up sanctions, which is what I would fight for, Senator Blumenthal voted to give Iran, the world's foremost state sponsor of terror, $150 billion.

"There is a long list of atrocities Iran has committed against America, our allies and it's own people," said Carter. "Yet, Dick Blumenthal has no comment on his record or the Obama Administration's failed policies when dealing with Iran."
