Short Stories By The Insider

BANG BANG WE SHOT YOU DOWN! BANG BANG WE OWN THIS TOWN.
WE ARE THE DEMOCRATS!

We have never seen a more despicable show of bipartisanship until last night’s broadcast of the common council meeting.
It was in one ear and out the other. Steve Devoto  gave one of the most bipartisan speech’s ever , citizens of Middletown spoke of who they what like to represent them ( Beth Emery) , and the republicans spoke on who they would like to represent ( Vincent) ) them as a minority and guess what, Dan Russo and Phil Pessina  were seated.

The saga continues.
WE GOT THE POWER!

Again behind closed doors the decisions were made the hierarchy. Here is how it went. A certain councilman (no names needed) with the mayor schemed again to make sure they have seated representatives on common council and now Planning and Zoning to push their agenda and keep them in control.
The councilman said to the mayor we out number them and our puppets will vote the way we want. We have to seat Dan and Phil. Don’t forget, then they owe us big time. Then the mayor says, but we will lose the village district voters. Councilman says no we won’t they always vote for us. We will throw them a bone later. Don’t worry Mayor, we have all the other low information voters in Middletown anyway. Don’t forget we have a D in front of names. Shrew, thanks I was getting worried for a minute.

WHEN WILL MIDDLETOWN WAKE UP!

Stay tuned.

Short Stories By The Insider

Preface: After Common Council elect Carl Chisem refuses to relinquish his seat on Planning & Zoning at this week's meeting, the meeting adjourns after only 20 minutes. A power play by veteran Democrats stop a bi-partisan slate of officers lead by top
vote-getter Stephen Devoto (D) as chair, or a simple "misunderstanding"?

My God!
Not even a week into the new administration and there is a story line already.
Behind closed doors the wheels started turning. The democrats where sweating and nervous about what the next step will be and who will be chairman of the planning and zoning commission.  Quick let’s call on our senior advisers (no need to mention names) and caucus they will come to the rescue. We can’t let Steve Devoto win the chairman position and we definitely can let Beth Emery be appointed as a seated commissioner. They are to smart and we will never get anything done. The republicans are just a bunch of dopes; we don’t have to worry about them. We have to make sure that Richard Pelletier is chairman he does what he’s told. Steve and Beth will be a torn in the butt. What do we say to Larry?
SO LETS SEND CARL CHISEM IN THERE! I was doing my duty he said. Yeah for his party. (This was no mistake)
It worked. The meeting was a debacle.

WILL MIDDLETOWN WAKE UP!

Short Stories By the Insider

For some, having a 'D' before your name in Middletown is a beautiful thing.  In Middletown to be part of this selective group of democrats in city hall means you are well protected. The rest run scared.  Why?

You know, I wish we really knew the answer.  Is it a power thing? Is it an ego trip?  Is it for security? Is it for more money?  Is it for all mentioned and more? Who really knows?

When you walk through city hall it's well-acted. Watch out what you say he or she might get mad! Shhhh!  Quiet! Someone may be listening. Oh my God, did you hear this and that? Did you know this one is in bed with that one or that one got taken care of?  Guess who’s running for Mayor or council and so on.  The drama in Middletown, CT would be a bestselling novel or a best rated mini-series. Who knew that this mini-series could have ran as long as the soap General Hospital (we could use Middlesex Hospital).  Maybe that’s why we have to keep the democrats in power, so the story never ends.  God forbid a Republican or any 3rd party gets a foot in the door - it throws the whole story line off.  Everything only runs smoothly if the democrats are in charge.  Shhhh...

Both state and national democrats say you can always count on Middletown. They don’t know how to change things in that town.  We have it made there.  They say Middletown is a well oiled machine.  The citizens of Middletown believe everything they are told.  Even that the democrats lowered their taxes, when they  in fact pay more every year.  They believe they are financialy sound but they're really not.  After everyone is sworn in - the saga will continue.  I hear that the next 2 years are going to be the climax of this drama.  STAY TUNED!

Short Stories from the Insider: Enough is Enough

Short Stories from the Insider: Enough is Enough

Enough is enough. Mayor Dan Drew insinuating that he has no knowledge of this recent flyer attacking Council candidate and former Mayor Seb Giuliano is a crock. If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. (Portland Bridge with new lights)

Dan Drew held a fund raiser for the Working Families party (as contrasted with his own reelection committee) and the proceeds of which paid for this mailer. To claim no knowledge ,let alone no direct involvement with it just insults everyone’s intelligence.

Everyone knows that this is Phil Pessina in conjunction with the democrats have a goal in mind. Now you can see why the Republicans did not nominate Phil for reelection. Now Phil is being used and played by the democrats (along with the Working Family party) to do their dirty work? Phil on strings, not to smart, do you think?  It’s very hard to believe that the Working Families party had the funds to disperse the flyer. People, this is how the democrats work with money, dishonestly.

Another thing Mayor Dan Drew continues to say he works in a bipartisan manner as quoted on the Middletown Patch November 1st 2013: "We've spent the last two years fixing problems and we have a vision for the city that we hope to move forward in a unified, bipartisan fashion."

WHAT BYPARISAN FASHION! He has an 8-4 majority on the council. The true fact is 10-2 majority with Phil and Joe. Does he really think the citizens of Middletown are stupid? If the common council had a republican majority or even split than he would have to work in a bipartisan manner to accomplish what all believe is good for Middletown. We need less spending and lower taxes and more business in town.  But with a majority he doesn’t have to work hard at all to get what he wants.

He constantly say’s the city is moving forward when in reality it’s not moving at all. Take a look around and you will notice numerous residential for sale signs all over town. People are not only leaving Middletown but the State Of Connecticut because they can no longer afford to live here. When students graduate they are relocating to other states that have jobs and fewer taxes. Let’s wake up and smell the coffee.

The democrats are destroying our town and state. They target low information voters to stay in power and the rest of us suffer. Therefore please get out and VOTE ROW A November 5TH.
