Big deal! That's nothing compared to the insanity going on at the PD!
ReplyDeleteMy feeling is the residents of Middletown will never wake up and will let Middletown fall pray to what is happening in the state and on the national level.
ReplyDeleteSo why did Russo Driska abstain and basically support Pessina??
ReplyDeleteTo anon at 10:16 SRD did not want to take a stand so she pulled a sheila daniels and took the easy way out. She said the council should defer to the party who has the vacancy and says she supported Szynkowicz during the campaign but then abstains? This way neither side has a beef. If you expect leadership from her you will be sadly disappointed, she is not off to a good start for Seb and his merry elephants.
ReplyDeleteVery disappointing start to this term. While I did not support Phil, I thought he had more integrity than displayed Monday night. From Minority Leader of Common Council to disputed P&Z alternate - it's all about Phil keeping Phil relevant with a little help for Dem friends. No doubt he would change his party affiliation in a heartbeat if offered a seat at their table but they have other plans for Phil. They'd prefer to keep him as their pawn - beware, he owes them BIG now.
ReplyDeleteIt has always been all about Phil. It has nothing to do with serving Middletown or Piddletown as his brochure from the WFP stated. Again this is the same man who refused to caucas with his other two councilwomen or discuss how his meetings went with Tom Serra once a month or his weekly meetings with the mayor.
