On Saturday, September 1st from noon until 1 pm, a group of patriotic Middletown locals led by Gail Whitright founder of Proposition USA.com stood on the corner of Washington & Main waving flags in support of American veterans. The public was welcomed to attend; among those involved were some familiar faces- State Rep. Len Suzio, Candidate for the 100th District Deborah Kleckowski, former 3 term Mayor of Middletown Seb Giuliano, and Middletown Republican Town committee president and distiguished veteran Ken McClellan along side vp William Wilson. Many citizens stopped by to show support through out the hour long rally. Whitright has been a long time social activist for veterans.
More information about the grassroots organization propositionusa and Whitright's efforts can be found in our earlier article here.

Is that Gallo in some of the photos??? OMG!
ReplyDeleteHad to work but sounded the horn as I drove by; great job!
ReplyDeleteToo bad our current mayor couldn't find the time to support our troops. Good for Gallo for going against party lines! All were welcome but look who decided to stay.jow or canvas instead. D's only care about themselves or events that benefit them.
ReplyDeleteGood job citizens!
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't a party event was it.. Gallo is a Republican from Cromwell anyhow, he ran against Susan B. for State Rep in the 1990s...He currently works for Call Before You Dig... How he got his state job would make a very interesting humorous story...
ReplyDeleteI love the way Dems ignore any type of event that that they perceive as "no-votes, no go."
ReplyDeleteIt's easier to throw a rally for Chris "Roll my Own" Donavan than stand out in the blistering heat with State Senator Suzio and aid him in his fight to suspend the early release bill for criminals.
Dems weren't there! Dems were theere for PROPUSA eithor. Oh, well they can do what they want because Middletown is 4-1 Democrat.. E=z for them
This was not a party sponsored event. Anyone who wanted to come was invited to do so- please see our previous post- Thanks Gail for organizing.
