BREAKING NEWS: Frechette Really Was Fullashitte! Court Rules in Favor of Bourne

BREAKING NEWS: Remember how Mayor Dan Drew said he triumphantly ended ALL the lawsuits between the City & the BOE? Yeah...... LIE

Frechette Really Was Fullashitte!
Court Rules in Favor of Christine Bourne, former BOE Payroll Supervisor's labor case. Two years ago, Bourne lost her position for being a whistle blower regarding "misplaced" funds overseen by then Superintendent Frechette. Frechette since left the his superintendent position with a settlement paid for by taxpayers that was the size of Rhode Island !

From the Ruling Summary: "There is no way to sugar-coat the facts:  Ms. Bourne was treated horribly by the Board of Education.
And when push came to shove, the City punished the victim."

At the time the Board of Education was headed by Superintendent Michael Frechette. Mayor Dan Drew was in office at the time when Bourne reapplied to the payroll position, but failed to reinstate her.

UPDATE:In an interview with the Middletown Patch, Mayor Drew is already trying to place ALL of the blame on the previous administration, despite the ruling and facts showing otherwise!!

Mayor Drew responded to the ruling and his role regarding not reinstating Bourne long before: "Ibityibitty ibity thats thhats all folks!" and proceeded to hide behind Administrative Assistant ('cause thats his title by CHARTER not Chief of Staff) Joe Samolis's legs.

More details to follow!

  6. This person hacked the payroll system and that means she had access to everyone's social security numbers. She has already shown to DTC, voters and her employers that honesty is not her strong suit, is the city doing anything to protect the employees from identity theft from her?

  7. The only open case I was aware of was between Bourne and the BOE because of the assault from the former Business manager Nancy Hayes. Is this that case?

  8. Speaking of former superintendents, why is Dave Larson still hanging around and getting paid while Dr. Charles is collecting 200K? And why does the BOE pay the current MFO and employ the retired one too? Maybe they could have kept some of the teachers if they weren't paying retirees to do what taxpayers are paying incumbants good money to do.

  9. How about the Grants Coordinator getting a golden handshake to retire and then being rehired as a consultant to do the same job???

  10. This actually was a ruling by the State of CT Labor Board. When Mayor Drew first took office he brokered a settlement between the City and the Union settling the outstanding grievances with the exception of this one. Also, Ms. Bourne has a case in federal court pending against the City/BOE.

  11. Actually, it was an arbitrator not the court that ruled. The decision is here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/157046442/Middletown-CT-and-AFSCME-544-12-Decision

  13. Chris is just a Dan Drew hater. Since her and Deb's plan backfired on her run for Mayor draw votes from Dan so Seb could get in. People don't want her .Who runs for Mayor and gets 150 votes? Seb, /Deb team is just a bunch of angry haters. Ask Phil and Joe. Chris in private industry you wouldn.t have a job. You should concentrate more on your job and keep your mouth shut.

    And justice for all

  14. Dan Drew wanted her out of his hair so he couldn't wait to dump her over at the BOE! Plus Nocera's wife was whining all the time about having to work with her and was threatening to cut ole rheumy eyes off if he didn't move the hacker away from her.

  15. I don't normally care much about things like this unless they affect me, and today it affected me. I am a teacher and I was supposed to get paid today but I didn't because Chris Bourne forgot to do direct deposit. She should be fired!!!

  16. This isn't Bourne's first time missing direct deposit.....back in March 2010 she also missed direct deposit as Payroll Supervisor at BOE and no one at the Board of Education got paid ....she blamed it on the Bank that time, who will get blamed this time?

  17. Bourne will lie about it again, she is an accomplished liar.

  18. I remember another time she didn't pay us on time maybe it was around the time she was caught hacking?

  19. Um...Bourne doesn't start back at the BOE until August 18th. Blame the buffoon that is there now. Not Chris!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Didn't take long for her to go back to her old ways!

  21. Are some of you dense! She didn't start back at her job and she hasn't work at this job in over a year. Whatever payroll glitches you've had have been at the hands of others. Please tell me you aren't teacher's blogging...because the ones who are are just a little dense!
