Did you eat while you were there or did someone else pay for your food? Simple things that should be answered. It was the taxpayers who footed this bill.

Editor's note: It is looking like taxpayers footed the bill for Mayor Dan Drew to go to the Presidential Inauguration and "represent Middletown" by standing in a crowd of a few million people as well.

Anyone remember when the Clinton's went to China? ... when he was the Governor of Arkansas? ... and came back with a $5 million donation so he could start his Presidential campaign? ... and then gave the Chinese military a U2 Spy Plane? ... which we never got back? ... and you wonder why no Democrats talk about what they do when they go to China ... am I the only one who remembers these things?
ReplyDeleteNice one Tim!
ReplyDeleteRemember when Lee Oswald went to Russia and gave the Soviets radar secrets about the u2 spy plane? Pilot Gary Francis Powers even alluded to the fact that "an American living in Russia" more than likely gave up Power's plane position.
ReplyDeleteRe: Wm Clinton: I think the people also forget about: Gennifer Flowers, Troopgate, Paula Jones, Substance abuse, Vince Foster, Whitewater etc. Amazing how this guy got away with all that and Nixon's men broke into some stupid Watergate building.
The Middletown Press article about Mayor Drew and comments from Seb Guiliano was rather weak. Why has the Middletown Press not published the pensions of the 16 retiring city employees or explained in detail what a sweat deal adding up to four years of service to meet the minimum retirement age is? I met Bill Wilson at a store recently and want to thank him for pointing this site out to me.
ReplyDeleteThey never posted my reply in the Middletown Press. Which is why I sent it to the Insider so people could read it without being censored as the press continues to do to those who oppose those they support.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous- Thank you for reading! Our previous blog post may answer some of those questions.

This post explains the potential hit to the pension fund- which is currently self sustaining, but according to the actuaries may not always be- and also the credited work years added to each retiree's term.

Billy Wilson was at a store? What store? Did he use the coupons from PRice CHopper?
ReplyDeleteWow,where else but town government could you get credit at 2.5 percent for each year worked and then as an incentive to retire, another four years added to your age to reach the min. retirement age. I don't blame the workers but who gave away the store on the 2.5 percent factor? Even Tier I state employees don't have it so good. Why can't city employees collect SS, if they paid in?
ReplyDeleteGotta love how DD touts his cost saving with police overtime on the same day he's asking for more money for police overtime!!!

ReplyDeleteApparently Channel 30 news is going to be doing a piece on the cost of Governor Malloy's travels. I believe that in the promo they said that it's cost the state more than a million dollars. Going to be interesting to see what they say that state got for it's money.
ReplyDeleteMIddletown!! The PRess needs to write an article about the MASSIVE buyouts Drew gave to those he wants to replace with his own people.
ReplyDeleteWe assure you they will not. The Mess is all about spin. Can't blame the individuals for taking the packages, we would too- but yes the result is detrimental to the City in many ways. Check out the links to our previous posts- we did all the work for them! Please share with anyone you can.
ReplyDeleteWe have counted 4 trips for Drew in less than 1 year - 3 to DC (2 on the City's dime including the last one) and 1 to China all of which we as taxpayers one way or another paid for!
