The North End Action Team Hosts its 17th Annual Garden Party



Middletown, CT-- The North End Action Team (NEAT) will be hosting its 17th Annual Garden Party and Fundraiser on Thursday, September 7 at 5:30 pm, at the Erin Street Community Garden (corners of High and Erin Streets) featuring door prizes, raffles and heavy hors d'oeuvres. NEAT’s community gardens are managed by the Garden Committee, who are residents that volunteer to organize and care for the 2 community gardens in the north end.The Erin Street and the Ferry Street Community Gardens are 2 of just a few, public green spaces in the otherwise densely populated  neighborhood that have become focal points of the north end neighborhood.
We will be gathering to celebrate NEAT’s 20th year, our community and the beauty of our thriving community gardens.This year’s party will feature hors d’oeuvres and desserts donated by Middletown restaurants. NEAT will be giving out awards to special gardeners from both the Erin and Ferry Street  gardens, along with Special Appreciation Awards.
In case of bad weather, the Green Street Teaching and Learning Center, 50 Green Street, will serve as the rain location. The event is free for All North End Residents.The suggested (tax deductible) donation for individual guests is $25 and $40 families. All proceeds from this event go to support NEAT and support events and programming for the community.

The North End Action Team (NEAT) is a community-based organization whose mission is to empower residents and stakeholders to participate civically and advocate for the interests of the North End of Middletown, CT. Over the last 20 years, NEAT has worked to counteract the negative elements that affect the quality of life in North End, as well as to restore the neighborhood's reputation as a vibrant, historic and valuable part of Middletown's downtown.
