“Connecticut businesses and residents are being
crushed by the burden of state taxes and need legislative leaders to
take the state in a new direction. I believe this budget takes the steps
toward responsible tax and budgeting policies
that will help our economy grow,” Sen. Linares said. “Approval of this
budget with the support of Democrats in the Senate shows we are capable
of working together. I hope my colleagues in the House follow our
example and make decisions that will help ensure
all Connecticut schoolchildren have access to a good education. We can
move our state forward together.”
The budget now moves to the State House of Representatives for a vote.
