Greater Middletown Military Museum Special Luncheon Oct. 22


The Greater Middletown Military Museum will be hosting a luncheon at the Elks on Maynard Street Oct. 22 at noon.
The guest speaker will be Bill Corvo, a Middletown native and local businessman who will talk about his father, Max Corvo, former chief of the Office of Strategic Services intelligence agency during World War II and was a key player in the liberation of Italy.
An update on the progress of the museum will be given. Tickets are $20 each and a limited number will be sold.Tickets sold after Oct. 14 and at the door will be $25 with eight people maximum to a table. All profit from the event stays with the museum.
The menu is tossed garden salad with dressing, fresh-cut fruit bowl, stuffed breast of chicken, fresh mashed potatoes, penne pasta with sauce, steamed vegetable, rolls, baked cookies and coffee.

American Legion Post 75 meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Legion.
VFW Post 1840 meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at at the Legion.
Daughters of American Veterans Chapter 7 meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion. All veterans are welcome.
Members of the Greater Middletown Military Museum meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Legion.
Catholic War Veterans Post 1166 meets on the third Wednesday of the month, at 7 p.m. at the Legion. Note the change in meeting place.
American Legion Post 206 meets the third Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at Page Hall of Connecticut Valley Hospital.
Middletown Council of Veterans meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Legion.
