Patriot Wave: Impeach Obama Overpass Protest goes CT Wide & Rally at Toad's Place New Haven Tomorrow

The following is as observation from the Middletown Insider staff, and like other observations about local protest, views may or may not be those of the Insider staff.

A facebook group Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment has sprung up and is scheduling protests on highway overpasses through out the country and Connecticut tomorrow, August 6th 2013. Many of the protesters are meeting up at a final rally to support Ted Nugent at Toad's Place in New Haven at 7 pm August 6th, 2013.

The facebook page has guidelines and suggestions for safety. The leaders of the informal groups on facebook all expressly state no racial slurs or derogatory language is to be used on signs. The groups does not condone violence or violation of laws. Group members have listed as events a variety of locations where they would like others to join them. The closest to Middletown as far as our research shows is Founder's Bridge in Hartford. Group members encourage others to find overpasses near their area, and list on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/events/198934220265917/

Frequent Insider guestblogger Palin Smith shared this sign on his facebook page today.
