What did you do over summer vacation in Middletown?

Other activities included a music lesson from Middlesex Music Academy ) of Middletown (Main Street), swimming at Crystal Lake, trips to Russel Library, visits with Middletown Police Officers Rowland and Wallace, and picnics at Wadsworth Falls. The Middlesex Chamber of Commerce over saw the youth summer employment program which provided teen helpers for the Salvation Army's day camp.

Middletown Salvation Army Kids Summer Day Camp
The Middletown Salvation Army is hosting a summer camp from July 8-August 16 for kids ages 7-12. The program hours are 9-3pm (8:30am early arrival and 3:30 extended stay). Breakfast and lunch are included.
Program to include: arts & crafts, hiking, swimming, fitness, music, dance, tours and trips!
Cost is $20 per week 1st child, $15 2nd child and $10 3rd child. Financial assitance may be available.

Paul Newman Film Fest Hits Middletown

The
Center for Film Studies at Wesleyan University, 301 Washington Terrace
in Middletown, is holding a Paul Newman Film Festival on Tuesdays in
July, in conjunction with a gallery exhibit, "Newman in Connecticut," in
the Rick Nicita Gallery adjacent to the Goldsmith Cinema.
Admission to all the films is free. Showtime is at 7:30 each night. The gallery will be open for an hour before the screening each night.
