A dark cloud of suspicious activity yet again looms over another Obama Era Government Agency.  And, it looks like rain!

As reported by Fox News, as early as April 2017, the office of HUD’s Inspector General reported major accounting errors at HUD, to the tune of $500 Billion (that’s $500,000,000,000.00).  The IG reported “…pervasive material errors” where identified during fiscal years 2015 and 2016.

Obama’s appointee Julián Castro was at the helm of HUD as Secretary from 2014 to 2017.  President Trump replaced Castro in March 2017 with now HUD Secretary Ben Carson.  The $500B errors were identified only after Castro left HUD as Secretary.

This was not the first looming cloud of suspicion over Castro’s head.   Prior to Obama appointing Castro in 2014 as Secretary of HUD, he was Mayor of San Antonio, TX, from 2009 to 2014.   In 2008, San Antonio received an $8.6 million award from HUD as part of a Neighborhood Stabilization Program.   A HUD IG report from 2009 to 2011 (during Castro’s Mayoral tenure) found that several million dollars were misused.

During Castro’s tenure as Mayor, neither the HUD IG nor the DOJ were asked to investigate how the City misspent millions in
program dollars.  That looming cloud of suspicion grew larger as there was NO investigation from the Obama administration.

Again, the cloud seemingly gets larger and darker as the Mayor of San Antonio is appointed in 2014 by Obama to be Secretary of HUD, even after mismanaging HUD funds and with no investigation into the IG’s reported mismanagement.

Now, in 2018, the looming darkness and ever growing girth of clouds may be about to open up and pour.  During Castro’s watch as HUD Secretary, $500B in HUD errors has been identified.  Let’s see…Obama appointed a ‘mismanager’ of HUD funds to oversee all of HUD’s funds and has reportedly ‘mismanaged’ HUD funds…again?  Hmmm!?

Adding gusts of wind to the ever-looming clouds, in November 2017, Julián Castro announced ‘I might’ run for President in 2020, according to an online newspaper, mysanantonio.com.

People it’s time to contact U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senator, DEMANDING a FULL INVESTIGATION and ACCOUNTABILITY of public funds…tax dollars.  It is time those at the helm of certain Government Agencies and Departments, as well as the previous U.S. Chief Executive Officer and Cabinet, be brought to task, held accountable, and maybe even to court for criminal proceedings.

What a large dark cloud.  Make it rain people…make it rain!
