Troop I - Bethany Announces DUI Spot Check & Roving Patrols

From Wednesday, November 22, 2017 to Sunday, November 26, 2017, Troop I will conduct roving DUI patrols on Route 15 in the North Haven area, I-91 in the North Haven area, I-691 in Meriden and Route 8 in the Shelton area. The roving patrols will be conducted during the evening hours.

On Friday, November 24, 2017, Troop I will conduct a spot check on I-91 in the area of Exit 6 in New Haven. The spot check will be conducted between 6:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

The roving DUI patrols and spot check during the Thanksgiving weekend are part of a continuing effort by Connecticut State Troopers to identify motorists who are operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

                Through roving DUI patrols, troopers will be stop motor vehicles for moving violations, as well as equipment violations, in order to identify operators driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

State Police will have extra troopers on duty to concentrate on DUI enforcement. Troopers will remain extremely vigilant in their DUI enforcement effort and effort to keep everyone safe this holiday weekend.
