MERIDEN - Sen. Len Suzio will host a Coffee Hour on
Friday, Sep. 29 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Huxley's Bookmark Café on 1333 East Main Street.
Suzio will update taxpayers on the state budget impasse. The
bipartisan budget plan which passed both the House and Senate in the
Connecticut General Assembly
boosts Meriden by more than $2.2 million by 2019. While increasing
education funding to towns, the bipartisan plan also contains no new tax
on cell phones, no new tax on nonprescription drugs, no new restaurant
sales tax, no increase to the pistol permit
fee, no tolls, no mileage tax, no home heating oil tax, and no income
tax increase. The plan can be viewed in line-by-line detail at
www.SenatorSuzio.com. Sen. Suzio can be reached at
Len.Suzio@cga.ct.gov and at 800-842-1421. He represents Cheshire, Meriden, Middlefield, Middletown and Rockfall.
