William --
The No Sanctuary for Criminals Act, H.R. 3003, has passed the House. This bill would block grants from the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice from going to jurisdictions that refuse to comply with federal immigration detainers.
H.R. 3003 will do a LOT to keep dangerous criminals out of America's cities and towns and if this passes the Senate, too, Pres. Trump will sign it.
Congress needs to take the all-important momentum from passing H.R. 3003 and pass the Davis-Oliver Act as it was marked up in the Judiciary committee. And the President knows it. On Wednesday, President Trump renewed his call for the passage of the Davis-Oliver Act:
"This package includes the Davis-Oliver Act, whose passage I called for nearly a year ago at my inauguration speech and immigration speech... We're calling on all members of Congress to honor grieving American families by passing these lifesaving measures in the House, in the Senate, and then sending them to my desk for a very rapid signature."
Help send these bills to Pres. Trump so he can turn them into law.

"We will end the sanctuary cities that have resulted in so many needless deaths. Cities that refuse to cooperate
with Federal authorities will not receive taxpayer dollars, and we will work with Congress to pass legislation to protect those jurisdictions that do assist Federal authorities... Countless innocent American lives have been stolen because our politicians have failed in their duty to secure our borders and enforce our laws... Now is the time for all of us, as one country, Democrat and Republican, liberal and conservative, to band together to deliver justice and safety and security for all Americans."
-- Donald Trump, August 31, 2016
NumbersUSA urged Members of Congress to vote yes on the No Sanctuary for Criminals Act. As we stated in our vote scoring, "This bill is an important first step in improving interior immigration enforcement. We can no longer sacrifice the lives of Americans to sanctuary policies that protect criminals." But it is just that: a first step.

We continued, "We owe it to the American victims of foreign criminals, terrorists, and gang members to follow this vote with a vote on the entire Davis-Oliver Act, as marked up by House Judiciary Committee."

H.R. 3003 is the first enforcement bill passed by the House since Pres. Trump took office in January. But just two weeks ago, the House also passed the Verify First Act, which will keep illegal aliens from getting taxpayer-funded health-care subsidies.

Keep the ball moving!

If you want to stop illegal immigration, please give to NumbersUSA. We work with other organizations, but we are THE organization that fights immigration battles in Congress. If we go away, millions of Americans lose their ability to have their voice heard in Congress. It's that simple.
Our army of millions has overwhelmed Congress in opposition to illegal immigration, defeating amnesty proposals again and again and again. This year, with a supportive president in the White House for the first time, we are ready to go on the offensive.

We're getting more and more activists involved with fighting for good laws out of Congress every year... but our donor base hasn't grown as fast as our activist base.
Unlike most political organizations, we don't spend money paying into politicians' campaign funds; we spend our funds helping voters raise their own voices to influence their own elected officials. NumbersUSA ACTION can't raise money from foundations or billionaires; our funds come from the people who use our tools. Like you.

We're committed to keeping our tools free to use, so the most people possible can use them. But that doesn't mean they aren't costly for us to provide to you.
We're a true grassroots organization, and we need YOUR generosity to keep winning. Not Michael Bloomberg's. Not Mark Zuckerberg's. Not George Soros's. They're not on our side, to say the least. We need YOUR help.

Please give, today.
