Sen. Linares Congratulates Clinton Town Clerk on Award

Hartford - State Senator Art Linares (R-33) was on hand June 14 as Clinton Town Clerk Sharon
Uricchio received the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Medallion Award at the Secretary of State’s Office.

“Sharon certainly exemplifies what the NASS Medallion Award is all about,” Sen. Linares said. “Her efforts to educate voters and encourage everyone’s participation in the electoral process is unmatched. The Town of Clinton is very lucky to have her.”

The NASS Medallion Award honors individuals, groups, or organizations with an established record  of
·        Supporting voter education and participation in elections
·        Promoting civic education that includes teaching, promotion, and study of elections
·        Service to state government, specifically in relation to the duties of the Secretary of the State
·        A commitment to giving by a business or individual whose philanthropic contributions have significantly enhanced the quality of life in a local or regional area within a state or within an entire state

Senator Linares represents the communities of Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland and Westbrook
