Jazz in Bushnell Park - Monday Nights Thru August 15

Although we at the Insider missed the Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz this year, the Hartford Jazz Society's Monday Night Jazz series continues through August 15th.  Both of these continuing series, the GHFJ and MNJ bring some of the greatest names in jazz into Hartford, as well as upcoming stars, at no cost to the public.

 

Having been to many of these events, I promise you will have a great time.  Jazz is a universal language transcending race, ethnicity, culture, political and social class, age and even species!  Those who come to Bushnell Park to share in these events are there for one reason only; to experience the music, the food and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.

 

For those not familiar with jazz or the jazz "culture", this is a great opportunity for an introduction.  If you have friends or family in town from out of state or abroad, bring them and introduce them to one of the most enduring and endearing aspects of Connecticut and American culture; Jazz!

A series of free concerts in Bushnell Park, Hartford

Produced by the Hartford Jazz Society, Monday Night Jazz, the nation’s longest-running free jazz concert series, returns to downtown Hartford’s Bushnell Park for its 49^th consecutive season.
