The Environment Committee will hold a public hearing on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. in Room 1E of the LOB.  Sign-up for the hearing will begin at 8:15 A.M. in the First Floor Atrium of the LOB.  Any individual wishing to sign up after the start of the public hearing may do so with Committee staff inside the hearing room.  Please email written testimony in Word or PDF format to envtestimony@cga.ct.gov, PDF format strongly preferred.

Testimony should clearly state testifier name and related Bills.  The Committee requests that testimony be limited to matters related to the items on the Agenda.  The first hour of the hearing is reserved for Legislators, Constitutional Officers, State Agency Heads and Chief Elected Municipal Officials.
Speakers will be limited to three minutes of testimony.  Bills will be heard in the order listed in the public hearing Agenda; the order in which bills are listed in the Bulletin does not reflect their Agenda order.  The Committee encourages witnesses to submit a written statement and to condense oral testimony to a summary of that statement.  All public hearing testimony, written and spoken, is public information.  As such, it will be made available on the CGA website and indexed by internet search engines.

S.B. No. 226 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING SINGLE-USE CARRYOUT BAGS.

S.B. No. 227 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING CECIL'S LAW.  OPPOSE.  Would prohibit The import, sale and trade of big-game hunting trophies from overseas.

S.B. No. 228 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING DAMAGES FOR THE UNLAWFUL KILLING OR INJURING OF A COMPANION ANIMAL AND REQUIRING A REPORT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE CONCERNING THE TETHERING OF DOGS. 

S.B. No. 229 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING THE ACCURACY AND APPLICABILITY OF CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT EVALUATIONS.

S.B. No. 231 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING POLLINATOR HEALTH. 

S.B. No. 232 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING THE RECYCLING OF CONSUMER HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES. 

S.B. No. 233 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING A REDUCTION OF CONSUMER-BASED PACKAGING MATERIALS.
H.B. No. 5381 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING REGULATORY AUTHORITY FOR WASTEWATER PERMITTING PROGRAMS. 

H.B. No. 5382 (RAISED) AN ACT CONCERNING THE NUCLEAR SAFETY EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM.
