State Rep. Matt Lesser Introduces Bill to Legalize Pot

Today, Rep. Matt Lesser introduced a bill in the State Legislature to legalize, regulate and tax the sale and use of marijuana in Connecticut, along with several colleagues.

This raises a few questions in my mind; a) Is it going to be over taxed like everything else in this state?  If so, people will still buy it "on the street". b) Will possessing or using it effect people's 2nd Amendment rights or any other rights? c) What are the unintended consequences? d) Will this supersede federal law? e) People can make their own beer and wine; will they be able to grow their own pot? f) What effect will this have on workplace drug testing?

Those wishing to comment directly to him may do so by email at "Matt Lesser" , or on his Face Book page.

The full text of the proposed bill can be found here; Proposed Bill No. 5236

  1. Why is it no surprise this is coming from Matt Lesser?
