My previous post claiming that ALL Republican electors have a say in endorsing the candidates for the upcoming municipal election is INCORRECT!
That is not the case; only Town Committee members are allowed to participate in the endorsement of candidates. I got this confused with the fact that all Republican electors are eligible to participate in the nomination and election of Town Committee members.
My sincere apology for this error and any confusion or panic it may have caused.
That being said, I do encourage all the city's Republican electors to attend the meeting on the 27th, and all other Town Committee meetings. Most meetings are held on the last Monday of the month at 7:00 P.M., in the Council Chamber at the Municipal Building at 245 deKoven Drive.
Your participation and input are needed in order to have a vibrant conservative party not only in Middletown, but in Connecticut.
