Daddy will not like that! Has he lost his grip on BOE?
ReplyDeleteIt seems the mayor has his hand in everything, and is backstabbing the ones that helped him most. His ego won't let him accept that he was helped, he's trying to prove he became mayor on his own. Seems to me he made sure baby Serra didn't get the job. Bet the new director has ties to Malloy!
ReplyDeleteGaylord withdrew last minute, Sytuleck supposedly left because it was a done deal. Sheila D had some last minute common sense and didn't follow the the status quo (but she did follow Ed as usual), Ed & Mitch Wynn didn't get the memo to tow the party line in time & it seems and left Gene holding the bag. Wow. So many questions.Course its all about the money!
ReplyDeleteGaylord is Sheila's lap dog and that's his MO. He applies for jobs and pulls out at the last minute in exchange for a promise of a hook up. He applied for Enza's job and Larson "convinced" him to withdraw by promising him the Director of Operations job. This time around they promised him the assistant superintendent job that Charles claims she needs for a new accounting system that they really need an accountant for. wink wink
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WTG Ed and Mitch. FINALLY people in the democratic party who stayed clear of the kool aid. I'm sure VL was foaming from the mouth… literally. As far as the comments about the Royal Family losing its grip on Middletown… its about time. Screw with peoples jobs, their families and …. karma comes knocking on your door sooner or later. Think twice before stomping upon people Serra clan.
ReplyDeleteKarma's coming back. Its about time Serra clan has been in power way too long. Kudos to the mayor for making sure baby Serra didn"t get the job. Proud of you Dan Drew. Hope you'll continue to stand on your own two feet. You don't need the Serras. You are smarter than all of them (including) papa Joe put together.
ReplyDeletewhoa whoa whoa- this must be a Dem town committee henchwoman- atleast the old D's didn't screw the working people like Drew is with out taxes! Yea we are getting Drew'd here. Ill take the mafia over being poor now.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think this is Dan getting even with Tom's vote against his Fire Chief appointment? I don't think that is what it's about. There were just too many skeletons in Jason's closet for the intelligent members of the BOE to vote for him. It would have come back to haunt the Board sooner versus later.
ReplyDeleteDan may have Malloy's unending support, but he needs Uncle Joe right now too.
I must have missed where Mayor Drew weighed in on the selection of the Athletic Director. The Board of Ed interviewed the candidates and voted on them. If anyone else, Mayor or Council member was involved, supporting one candidate over another, it should have been in the public forum, not with backroom deals or off-the-record phone calls.
ReplyDeleteDan Drew had nothing to do with this. It just proves he has no juice either. The BOE has finally realized what losers all of the democrats are and are not gonna take any more crap from them. First AD, then the new software, what next? Get ride of DD and his followers - first the BOE had a sweep, now it's time for City Hall
