Guest Blog: Greetings Patriots by Palin Smith Conservative Roundup

Below is a roundup of Conservative events being held this week. Complied and submitted by Palin Smith. Opinions are that of Palin Smith and do not necessarily reflect that of Insider Staff.

As the secrets about the Obama Administration start to unravel, our worst trepidations are being verified. Democrat incumbents are retiring because of Obamacare.  National Defense, as under all Democratic presidents since John F. Kennedy, is being quickly  denuded. Obama’s jokes about the IRS targeting the Tea Party are not jokes. As most Americans still slumber to that sick soft lullaby of “ignorance is bliss“, the Patriots are on the move.
“First they came…” is a famous statement and provocative poem attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the sloth of German intellectuals following the Nazis' rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group.
I’ve employed artistic license with this famous poem making it more contemporary by applying recent developments in Connecticut and in America.
First they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Catholic.
Then they came for the Tea Party Patriots,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Tea Party Patriot.
Then they came for the Gun Owners,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Gun Owner.
Then they came for Me,
and there was no one left to speak for Me.
Will History repeat? Only if we do nothing.
There will be a rally protesting the IRS targeting of Patriot groups next Saturday, May 18 at Symphony Hall in Springfield, MA from 8 AM to 10 AM. Symphony Hall is just 30 minutes north of Hartford. Bob MacGuffie’s advisory gives more details:
Greetings From Right Principles:
Patriot groups on Long Island have developed the following initiative:
Lois Lerner, the head of the IRS Division that targeted Tea Party and conservative Patriot groups with intimidating reviews and audits (all admitted yesterday in the press), will be the commencement speaker at Western New England University's Law School commencement. She is a graduate of that school.
The commencement will be held at the Symphony Hall in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts, NOT on the University campus - and the front is a public plaza and sidewalk from which to hand out flyers. The location is a couple blocks off Route 91.
The commencement is on Saturday, May 18th at 9:30am, but the doors open at 8:30.
We'd probably want to be there at 7:30-8:00am. Flyers with a synopsis of her participation in stamping on Freedom of Speech and violation of ethics rules could be handed out to every attendee. btw - She is the past president of the Council on Governmental Ethics Laws. She needs to be reminded that her IRS position requires ethics and adherence to the law.
Let me know with a quick return e-mail if you'd be interested in traveling just north of the CT border to Springfield, MA next Saturdaymorning.

Please pass this along to anyone you know who would be interested.

Why would Obama release this information now?
Hillary Clinton believes you are a patriot when you criticize the government, but only the Bush Administration. Don’t you dare criticize her or Obama!   The scariest woman in America!

It’s getting more difficult to be a law-abiding American. We see politicians getting away with all kinds of crimes and obtaining special perks. So many new regulations have been heaped upon us “for the good of us” that we are strangling in “good intentions”.
In preparation for the mass expulsion of CT state legislators on Election Day, 2014, this year we have begun to set up regional groups of volunteers who will lead the way.

We are looking for leaders in each of the 36 state senate districts. The leaders’ tasks will be to help recruit more volunteers, meet with their state representatives (invite your state Reps. and state Sens. to a district town hall meeting to meet constituents, or meet with seasoned and experienced state campaign workers to learn more. We can’t wait until 2014. If we do the work in 2013, we can hit the ground running in early 2014. We can’t trust all the CT GOP to do what’s in our best interests. We’ve seen them vote against us.
If you are an educated voter, if you are a motivated voter, if you vow never to be discouraged again, this is your time. Too often in the past we’ve waited to see whom the Republicans choose so we know which of the lesser of two evils we are forced to vote for. It doesn’t have to be that way. We’ve got the Independent Party and the Libertarian Party. How many Republicans in 2012 sought to get on the Independent Party line? All of them except Chris Shays!
We’ve already witnessed a bunch of good people step forward to announce their intentions to run in 2014. We need more good people, well-known in their communities. Lions, Chambers of Commerce, local government, business, etc. Don’t be afraid to ask. Set those brush fires in peoples’ minds.
If you wish to help coordinate the work to restore Connecticut, please reply. Many patriot groups are duplicating this formula. You can help in any group you currently belong to or in a generic way. Many of the people who have manned the front lines for years are getting weary. We relish the recent surge of gun owners and 2A supporters who have boosted the ranks of patriot activists. Don’t lose that passion. Don’t drift back to business as usual. This year we man the trenches. Next year we start playing in their end of the field!
Many times I’ve been asked “who is the best conservative” in Connecticut. That’s a tough question. We know a few incumbent elected officials, grass roots activists and local and regional stand-outs who are in the running. There is one man, however, whom I’ve known for over four years. I can’t say I’ve met a better conservative!
He is highly knowledgeable of both local and state politics, a natural strategist and high caliber tactician. He is generous and selfless, honorable…… and he is fearless! His name is Dominic Alaimo. Donnie, as his friends call him, is the Vice Chair of the Enfield Republican Town Committee. He has owned the Freshwater Package Store for thirty-one years. He led the drive for Sundayliquor store sales. He’s made a few enemies but he’s earned thousands of friends. He single-handedly registered over 500 new conservative voters in the past several years. He has even delivered the completed registration forms to adjacent towns to help people he didn’t know.
Donnie suffered a stroke at 5 PM last Thursday afternoon. He’s recovering at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.Enfield RTC Chairman, Mary Ann Turner, released this statement earlier today:
“Hello Everyone
Keep those prayers coming…Donnie is doing better. He has been moved out of ICU into a room. He will probably be in the hospital a few more days.
He is having some "memory" issues…but things are getting better. As I hear more, I'll let you know.

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.(Samuel Adams)
Pass the matches……

PS...... Donnie always reminds me

And Happy Mother’s Day.
