2nd Annual Pizza War To Fight Hunger

The 2nd annual Greater Middletown Pizza War will be held May 8th at the Sons of Italy on Court Street 5-7:30. The event benefits St. Vincent de Paul  Soup Kitchen of Middletown.

 Sample pizza from 11 area pizza restaurants and vote for your favorite. Participating restaurants include: Alpha Pizza, Dominos, Empire Pizza, Famous Pizza, First and Last Restaurant, Illiano's Pizza, Mondo Restaurant, Pizza Palace, Roberto’s Restaurant,Sammy's Restaurant, and Tommy's Restaurant. 
$10 per person $25 for families with children 16 and under All proceeds to benefit St. Vincent dePaul in Middletown. Sponsored by Feed the People Charity and the Middletown Press.

    Many pizzerias on your list will not be attending this year. The Italian society isn't donating it's hall for the event. Also they are selling alcohol and those sales aren't being donated as well.

    Here you have all of these pizzerias donating their food and time but the Italian society takes advantage of the whole thing.

    IF they gave the use of their hall for free do you how many NON PROFITs would line up with their "special" event? Thats all Middletown is is non profits- paid for through government grants ie tax money
