Call to Action: Tonight - *Residents of SOUTHBURY and Surrounding Towns*

Contributed by Ray Bevis

CCDL just became aware that there will be a call for a town ordinance prohibiting firearms on all town property and at town events in the town of Southbury, TONIGHT.

We are urgently calling on CCDL members, to be present TONIGHT, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 7:00PM at the Southbury Town Hall. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00PM. Public comment will begin immediately following the Pledge of Allegiance. At which time, we are aware that residents in support of this ordinance will stand and call for it. We are asking members to please be present and provide follow up statement as to why the ordinance is unnecessary and restrictive. Ideas for comments might include unwillingness to do business in Southbury, personal protection, etc. The Selectmen MUST hear from rational, lawful gun owners tonight. Please be calm, factual and professional. Public comment will be taken in an orderly fashion, one at a time and limited to 3 minutes. Please do not interrupt or be disrespectful to the other side. If your uncomfortable speaking please consider attending and showing your support by wearing your CCDL attire, if you have it.
