BREAKING: CCDL files Application to CT Supreme Court
by Chris
CCDL has applied to the CT State Supreme court to submit an Amicus Curiae Brief (Friend of the Court Brief) in support of Bushmaster Firearms International LLC.
The case known as ‘Soto v Bushmaster’
has been ongoing for some time, and CCDL will withhold any further
statements on the case until the court accepts our petition for the
brief to be filed.
The
application is a matter of public record on file with the State Supreme
Court as of May 30, 2017. You may view a copy of the application here: Application-of-CCDL-for-permission-to-appear-as-amicus-curiae.pdf
From LTC Allen West - Urgent Petition to Donald Trump
Now I'm asking you to sign this PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION FOR ARMY 1LT CLINT LORANCE urging President Trump to do what Obama refused to: send this innocent soldier home where he belongs!
In July, 2012, 1LT Clint Lorance was sent to Afghanistan to replace a platoon leader who was seriously wounded in a Taliban attack. On his third day on the job, Clint and his men were on patrol when a U.S. helicopter radioed that a motorcycle was sitting outside of the village near a road only used by the Taliban. When the motorcycle started gunning toward the platoon, 1LT Lorance ordered his marksman to fire.
Two of the riders were killed. The other was captured in the village, where days earlier a U.S. soldier was shot in the neck.
Those of us who have been stationed in Afghanistan know the tactics and actions of the enemy.
Without a doubt, these men posed a threat to Clint's platoon. And as the commanding officer, Clint knew he was responsible for getting every single one of his soldiers back to base alive.
Yet our own government didn't agree. 1LT Lorance was convicted of murder and sentenced to 20 years at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth.
Now you know why I'm asking you to follow this link to sign the PRESIDENTIAL PARDON PETITION right away.
You see, it is customary for U.S. Presidents to grant high-profile pardons just before leaving office. However, when Obama's term came to an end on January 20, 2017, he refused to commute Clint's sentence.
- Instead, Obama did commute the sentence of traitor Bradley Manning, who leaked sensitive national security information and put our troops at risk.
- He did commute the sentence of Puerto Rican nationalist Oscar Lopez Rivera, who was serving 50 years in prison for plotting to overthrow the U.S. government and whose group killed four Americans in a New York City bombing in 1975.
- And of course he pardoned and commuted the sentences of hundreds of criminal cocaine and heroin dealers.
Congratulations 2014 - HUHS Staff LipDub to Happy!

Oath Keepers - New York 'Common Sense' Gun Bill Could Get People Killed
Not satisfied with SAFE Act citizen disarmament measures (because they will
never be satisfied),
New York tyrannophiles are proposing yet another insidious
infringement that will not only result in sweeping gun bans, but will
render allowable guns dangerous to their owners as well as to others
when the guns are deployed in self-defense. Senate Bill S3444, authored and sponsored wholly by Democrats, will all but ensure more injuries and deaths in the name of protecting children.
The "brainchild" of 29th District State Senator and career public trough feeder José M. Serrano, the bill:
Prohibits persons, firms or corporations engaged in the retail business of selling firearms from selling, delivering or transferring child operated firearms; defines "child operated firearm" to mean a pistol or revolver manufactured 1 year after the effective date of these provisions which does not contain a childproofing device or mechanism incorporated into the design of such pistol or revolver to effectively preclude an average 5 year old from firing same; makes violations a class A misdemeanor.
How does Serrano's bill propose to "childproof" a gun?

The Big Bug Hunt 2017: Time Is of the Essence
Welcome to the Big Bug Hunt 2017 international research project newsletter! |
The Big Bug Hunt relies on accurate reports from gardeners across the
country to track when and where bugs appear and spread. Our identification guides
are a great way to check what you’ve seen. But letting us know when you
saw your bug could help to further improve the accuracy of your report.
Big Bug Hunters can now do exactly that. Go to www.BigBugHunt.com as usual to report your bug. Let us know what you saw and which plant you saw it on. You now also have the option to add the date you spotted your bug from a drop-down list. Or just leave it set to ‘today’. Our researchers have confirmed that knowing the date that a bug appears is crucial in predicting how it spreads. This may be a very simple addition, but it will significantly improve the final pest warning system under development. Take a look for yourself – and please keep your reports coming! |

On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, Chairman of the House Committee on Natural Resources Rob Bishop (R-UT) introduced H.R. 2620, the "Lawful Purpose and Self Defense Act." This bill would remove ATF's authority to use the "sporting purposes" clauses in federal law in ways that could undermine the core purpose of the Second Amendment. Under Chairman Bishop’s legislation, all lawful purposes – including self-defense – would have to be given due consideration and respect in the administration of federal firearms law. |

The President directly addressed the threat of terrorism facing the world at the Arab Islamic American Summit in Saudi Arabia. President Trump showed that the United States stands with its allies to rid the world of this evil. “America is prepared to stand with you – in pursuit of shared interests and common security. But the nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves, for their countries, and for their children."
