Suzio Welcomes "Kid Senator" to State Capitol

Thomas Hooker Elementary School 5th Grader Georgia Showerda of Meriden (seated) was recently named “Kid Senator” for the 13th Senatorial District for a research presentation on improving bus safety that she submitted to a statewide civics program.

Sen. Len Suzio (standing) on Apr. 13 took Georgia and her mother Jessica on a tour of the historic State Capitol. Georgia sat in the 13th Senatorial District chair in the State Senate Chamber and participated in Capitol events, including Animal Therapy Day.
