de Paul Middletown’s Soup Kitchen and Amazing Grace Food Pantry continue to
experience unprecedented demand for nutritious food, providing approximately
340,000 meals to residents in the Middletown area last year. The Walk Against
Hunger takes place at an important time of year. The summer months are the most
challenging for people with food insecurity, as the need for food rises with
the summer school recess and that is when donations typically decline. The Walk
Against Hunger is the agency’s largest annual fundraiser - last year over 100
people participated in the Walk Against Hunger on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul
Middletown and raised over $34,000 for the agency and its programs.
more about the Walk Against Hunger, visit www.svdmiddletown.org. Select St. Vincent de Paul Middletown as the benefiting program during
registration, and the funds you raise will directly benefit the Soup Kitchen
and Amazing Grace Food Pantry. If you have any questions or would like help
with the registration process, please contact Walk Coordinator Jessica Fazzino
