We invite you to join us as a volunteer for
Rebuilding Together National Rebuilding Day
Saturday April 29, 2017
Sanford
& Hawley will again be sponsoring a house for Rebuilding Together
Hartford this year on National Rebuilding Day. This year all efforts
will be concentrated in the northeast section of town. This is our
chance to not only improve the lives and homes of low-income Hartford
homeowners, but also to truly improve a neighborhood. We encourage you
to join the fun and help us help others. This is also a great chance to
learn or practice some carpentry skills.
April 29th seems so far away, but plans are already underway and we
have already been assigned a house for the day. Now we are looking for
volunteers to help ensure we can fulfill our promise to the low-income
Hartford homeowner.
If you are able to participate please visit any one our Connecticut
branches and pickup a registration form. , I ask that you return your
form by April 10th so we can begin the process of assigning projects.
Rebuilding Together Hartford is a non profit organization that provides
free home repairs and accessibility/energy efficiency modifications for
low income homeowners particularly the elderly and people living with
disabilities. Their underlying goal is to “allow homeowners to
age-in-place”. You also need to register with Rebuilding Together
Hartford on their website at www.rthartford.org.
We are available to speak to you if you would like additional
information about Rebuilding Together Hartford or National Rebuilding
Day.
