Bringing Automotive Jobs to America
Before arriving in Nashville, President Trump made a stop in Detroit, Michigan to talk jobs. During the campaign he visited Michigan and promised to fight hard for American jobs. Since the election, Ford has announced that 700 new jobs will be brought back to their plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. Fiat-Chrysler has announced that they will create 2,000 new jobs in Michigan and Ohio. And just this week, General Motors announced that they're adding 900 jobs in Michigan!
Delivering Results For American Taxpayers
The President has begun the process of a long-overdue reorganization of our federal departments and agencies. There is duplication and redundancy everywhere. Billions and billions of dollars are being wasted on programs that are not delivering results for hardworking American taxpayers. President Trump has signed an Executive Order to correct this problem. This order requires a thorough examination of every executive department and agency to see where money is being wasted, how services can be improved, and whether programs are truly serving American citizens.
While the Congress debates a plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, President Trump met with several victims of the disastrous healthcare law. After hearing their stories, President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Health & Human Services Secretary Price committed to fighting for reforms that will bring costs down and increase access to health care for all Americans. President Trump has released his budget plan to get America back on track. He is proposing a budget that will shrink the bloated federal bureaucracy while protecting our national security.
