Empowering Women In the STEM Fields
President Trump signed two bills that promote women in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math). The first bill (H.R. 255) signed by the President encourages the National Science Foundation's recruitment and support of women to expand their focus into the commercial world in its entrepreneurial programs. The second bill (H.R. 321) calls for NASA to encourage women and girls to study STEM Fields and pursue careers in aerospace. Currently, only 1 in every 4 women who gets a STEM degree is working in a STEM job – this is a step in the right direction to change that.
Ending Unnecessary Regulatory Burdens Placed On The American People
President Trump has signed an Executive Order that will create regulatory reform task forces to eliminate red tape! These task forces will evaluate existing regulations and identify candidates for repeal or modification. The regulations from the last administration cost American taxpayers $873 billion in total! President Trump has been steadfast in his commitment to reducing the regulatory burden on everyday Americans, their pocketbooks, and their businesses.
Meeting With Health Insurance Companies To Find An Obamacare Solution
The President believes we must work together to save Americans from Obamacare. That’s why on Monday, he held a round table with health insurance company CEOs. President Trump recognizes that the chaos Obamacare has created requires swift action. He asked Secretary Price to work with these companies to stabilize the insurance markets and to ensure a smooth transition to the new plan. President Trump looks forward to providing healthcare that is extraordinary -- better than any other country in the world. And we can do that. We have the talent, we have the capacity, and we have the people.
