Seven Area Veterans Honored

This past Friday, seven area veterans were presented with Service Medals from VA Commissioner Sean Connolly, Mayor Dan Drew and Congressman Rosa DeLauro.  The awards ceremony was held in the Council Chamber at Middletown City Hall.

Two veterans, Vincent Russo and Marc Godbout, received the Korean Ambassadors for Peace ribbon and medal, and the Connecticut Wartime Service medal.

Carl Bukowic, John Landry (a member of the Middletown Republican Town Committee), Wayne Ashworth, Chris Wagner, and Brendon Cameron were awarded the Connecticut Wartime Service Medal.

    John deserves a medal for bravery after standing that close to DeLauro! Poor man.
