Anything Goes! with Lise Avery

We have all heard the joke about someone having "a face made for radio".  Well, the lovely Lise Avery has a voice made for radio!

In her weekly, hour long broadcast heard right here in the Connecticut Valley/Shore area and on line at WLIS AM 1470/WMRD AM 1360, every Saturday at 7 PM and Sunday at 4 PM, she plays a mix of jazz, standards, swing, classic pop and just about anything else, along with interviews with some of the biggest names in show business!

In this archived program*,  Lise talks with  the son of legendary vocalist Frank Sinatra, Frank Jr., in the fourth of a series of interviews.

In this episode, Frank Jr. talks about his father's roll in desegregating Las Vegas.  The interview with Frank Jr. comes in the second hour of the archived show.  Click the fast forward button to get to the interview, if you want, but I think once you start listening, you will be hooked and want to hear the entire broadcast!

Lise tells me, "Rest assured that the Frank Sinatra, Jr, interview is coming to you soon on WLIS/WMRD."  (I wonder if she is single?)

*(Recorded live on Mondays for broadcast on WFDU 89.1 FM, Fairleigh Dickinson University, is available thru January 17 and is independent of the WMRD broadcast.)
