Art Linares to Run for State Treasurer

File photo
Yesterday, in an email to supporters, Senator Art Linares announced his candidacy for the office of Connecticut State Treasurer.

Linares, who has now served five years as senator from Connecticut's 33rd district, was elected to a seat held by a Democrat for two decades. The upset was stunning enough, but Linares was only 24 years old at the time.

In his email, Linares points out the fact that Connecticut has an unaffordable pension liability and a business environment that is over burdened by regulation and an out of control debt.

Linares believes these issues can be overcome.

His website is under construction and he has a video announcement, here.
