Early this afternoon, State Rep. Matt Lesser (D-100th) posted the following on Face Book: "Don't like your leaders? Run for office . . ."
A constituent replied, "It's great when elected officials ask others to run for office". Bill Boylan, editor of The Middletown Insider and also a constituent, pointed out that Lesser wasn't looking for someone to run against him.
Upon seeing this, Lesser challenged Boylan; "wanna run against me?" Boylan thought the proposition was interesting and promised to bring it up at the next meeting of the Republican Town Committee!
