is hosting a Cut-a-thon to benefit Wigs for Kids on October 29th!
Wigs for Kids (http://www.wigsforkids.org/) is an organization that provides wigs to kids who have lost their hair due to medical treatments or conditions, free of charge. It costs $1,800 and takes up to 30 pony tails to make just one wig.
Well, you gotta get a hair cut anyway, so why not help out a good cause at the same time?
A regular hair cut will cost $25.00 and half of that money will go to Wigs for Kids along with any other donations collected.
Anyone wishing to donate a ponytail will get their hair cut for free. Pony tails must be at least 12" long and cannot be permed, color-treated, or highlighted. Temporary coloring or highlights that washout are acceptable, but must be completely washed out before cutting.
Volunteer stylists or barbers are needed, also.
Hair cuts can be had on a walk-in basis, or by appointment. To make an appointment, call (860) 344-1952.
As an added bonus, you may get to see me get my hair cut! It has been growing for almost 3 years and reaches the middle of my back.
