In an apparent response to a
powerful grassroots movement, there is strong activity in Congress to
stop President Obama's Internet giveaway.

A recent Bloomberg headline trumpeted in bold type, "Cruz's Internet Crusade Gains Steam in U.S. Funding Debate."
Capitol Hill lawmakers are taking note of the messages from concerned Americans over President Obama's unconstitutional plan to give away control of the Internet.
On Tuesday, Liberty Counsel Action representatives delivered our Stop President Obama's Surrender of the Internet petition with 74,234 signatures to key lawmakers, including Senator Cruz. The deliveries were amplified in scope by thousands of faxes to as many as 100 lawmakers in both chambers of Congress over the past several days!
THANK YOU for signing the petition – and we are very grateful to those of you who expanded your impact by faxing lawmakers!
The danger to Internet freedom escalates with international operatives controlling the medium, as Senator Cruz warned in a Senate subcommittee hearing Wednesday:
"Imagine an internet run like many
Middle Eastern countries that punish what they deem to be blasphemy. Or
imagine an internet run like China or Russia that punish and incarcerate
those who engage in political dissent."
Liberty Counsel Action representatives are closely monitoring this unfolding issue. We plan to make one more petition delivery to Capitol Hill before the end of the month - or as often as the situation warrants.
