Monthly Meeting – August 9th

CCDL holds its monthly general membership meeting at 7:00pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Elks Lodge in Middletown, CT. All CCDL members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Middletown Area Members - Election Strategy Session We are approximately 3 months away from Election Day 2016 An election strategy planning session will be taking place Tuesday August 9th at: Nino's Pizza, 825 Saybrook Rd Middletown CT from 5:15pm to 6:30pm This is the same night as our member meeting. Nino's is just 5 minutes from our meeting, so members will have plenty of time to make it after the strategy session. The only way to stop assaults on our 2nd Amendment is to help our candidates win. They need people; a little of your time and effort may help decide an election. Also be sure to see CCDL's 2016 Candidate Endorsements.

CCDL Family Picnic August 27th Saturday, August 27th from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM On Saturday, August 27th from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, the Connecticut Citizens Defense League will host its 8th Annual Family Picnic. The event will take place at Boothe Memorial Park, 5800 Main Street in Stratford, CT – lower picnic areas This event is open to all CCDL members and to the public free of charge. Everyone is encouraged to attend this event to celebrate our rights in Connecticut to keep and bear Arms. Come and get to know us, and learn more about what CCDL does to protect your rights as a gun owner in the state of Connecticut. Come and enjoy typical picnic fare - burgers, hotdogs, salads, desserts, soft beverages, and more. This will be an alcohol free gathering. Bring your kids! Bring your dogs! Any lawful forms of firearm carry are allowed and encouraged! If you will be carrying a firearm, please exercise safety and caution as we will be in the eyes of the public. Firearms must remain holstered for the duration of the event to ensure safety. CCDL merchandise and membership sign-up will be available onsite. There will be games and prizes for all to participate in and enjoy. Please let us know if you plan to contribute a food item. Salads, desserts, and snack items are suggested. 2016 Candidate Endorsements Now is the time to help those legislators who have helped us through their ongoing support of the Constitution. With state-wide elections coming in November, these legislators and candidates who are running need our support in a serious way. If you want to help, please show up this Tuesday in Middletown for our monthly meeting. CCDL Legislator of the Year 2016 Presentation The Connecticut Citizens Defense League is proud to present our Legislator of the Year award to State Representative Doug Dubitsky. This is the 2nd year in a row for Doug to be selected for this honor. While there were a number of excellent legislators who were also considered, State Rep Dubitsky is the one to honor this year. Please join us at our August 9th meeting to recognize Doug and all of his efforts this past legislative session.
