Wigs for Kids Celebrating 35th Aniversary and Increase in Ponytail Donations

Hello!

After 10 years of holding the Annual Wigs for Kids Day at the Zoo, we are responding to a greater need. Due to a large increase in ponytail donations this past year, our efforts have been focused on responding to this increase. Because of our limited resources, we have decided not to host the annual Day at the Zoo event previously scheduled for July 30, 2016.

Instead we will be focusing our efforts on launching a national fundraising campaign, and celebrating our 35th Anniversary, this fall. As you know, Wigs for Kids depends not only on hair donations, but also financial support to carry out our mission to help children in need. Financial contributions help us cover the expense of creating wigs, as well as the necessary products, services and support.

Our plan is to broaden our fundraising efforts to a national scale, which will allow us to support the increase we've experienced in ponytail donations. We are so thankful for the people who have supported our organization over the years, and we hope that you will join us in the fall.
