In this update, Senator Hwang speaks about Wednesday's special session, Autism awareness, Special Olympics and empowering people of all abilities, his meeting with retired teachers to hear their concerns regarding the budgetary impact of their pensions, the Appropriations Committee meeting debating the merits of what needs to be cut to resolve the deficit and the challenges of last years mitigation and the cuts to hospitals, social non-profits and the fundamental changes that need to be made in the budget structure, which were not addressed by the Appropriations Committee. Sen. Hwang pledges to work to be predictable, transparent and sustainable in the budgeting process.

Senator Hwang Gives an Update From the Capitol
