A Case of Big Brother or Personal Safety? Middletown Gets Cameras

Middletown's municipal parking lots will be getting surveillance cameras in stalled in addition to the already automated parking ticketing booths.

An article on the website of WTNH weighs in on the impact; Director of Parking Gene Thazhampallah comments: "I always say, and I tell my city council, I want people to know that we have cameras in place."

According to the article, a $600,000 grant is paying for the installation of 100 cameras.

Private surveillance footage helped to locate Boston Marathon bombers. Readers: How do you feel about the new cameras? A Case of Big Brother or Personal Safety?
